An ESC-LOS stands for Emergency Severity Index (ESI) level 1-2 patients who leave without being seen. This term is used in healthcare settings to refer to patients who have a high level of acuity or severity of illness but leave the emergency department before being evaluated by a healthcare provider. ESC-LOS patients are considered to be at risk for adverse outcomes due to not receiving timely medical care. Tracking and addressing ESC-LOS cases is important for improving patient safety and quality of care in emergency departments. **
